New to Pilates or Want to Learn the Foundations?

Bria's Foundation Course, carefully and thoughtfully crafted by our seasoned instructors, is back by popular demand. Our current students love it so much they are taking it again! This course teaches Joseph Pilates key principles so that you will be able to join in with Intermediate classes. Courses run every 6 weeks through Spring 2015. Classes are small to allow for individualized attention. Upcoming schedule:

 

2014

September Start : Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 PM September 16 - October 23 with Sharon Lightfoot-Pound and Kari Callaway.

October Start: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 PM October 28 - December 11 (No class the week of Thanksgiving) with Sharon Lightfoot-Pound and Kari Callaway.


2015

January Start: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 PM January 6 - February 12 with Sharon Lightfoot-Pound and Kari Callaway.

February Start: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 PM February 17 - March 26 with Sharon Lightfoot-Pound and Kari Callaway.

What is Pilates?

 

Pilates is one of the fastest growing forms of rehabilitation, exercise and stress-management because people have found that it is safe and effective for nearly everyone! The Pilates method involves a series of mind-body exercises geared to help you achieve optimal alignment and posture. Work is done on specialized equipment adding resistance to increase muscle tone and bone density while enhancing body awareness, coordination and flexibility.

 

Bria's Pilates program focuses on the core postural muscles which are essential in providing support for the joints and spine to help maintain whole body balance and strength. Our program also teaches awareness of breath and postural alignment to efficiently strengthen your body's core "powerhouse" – the abdomen, lower back, hips, and buttocks. Bria offers privates, semi-private, group reformer, and group mat Pilates classes. We are unique training facility that offers a specialized leveling system in all of our Pilates group classes to ensure safety and efficiency in your movement and exercise techniques.
